Techman Robot Integrates Visual Identification System in its First Homegrown 6-axis Collaborative Robot from Taiwan
The annual IT Month, one of the highlights of the Taiwanese tech community, will be held at the Taipei World Trade Center from 12/3 to 12/11. The exhibition attracted more than 900,000 visitors in previous years and will feature a robot pavilion this year based on emerging trends such as IoT, big data and robotics. The TM5, the only homegrown collaborative robot in Taiwan, will also be put on display. The integration of powerful vision sensors makes it the first robotic arm in Taiwan to have its own eyes.
Techman Robot brand developed by Quanta Storage Inc., a member of the Quanta Group, is pitched as a collaborative robot that can work side-by-side with human workers. It is a robot with smart vision, force and tactile feedback to be domestically developed and produced in Taiwan. At the robot pavilion of this year’s IT Month, TM set up a robot candy grab event that showcases how robots can work alongside humans and give consumers a closer look at robot arms. Once the consumer selects a color, the vision-enabled robotic arm will pick up candy of the right color and give it away to consumers at the show. Starting from the opening day (12/3), the TM robot will be there at the IT Month robot pavilion during the weekends (12/3, 12/4, 12/10, 12/11) to provide interactive services and gifts.
